How do I become a Content Provider?
gap
Content Providers pay a small annual fee to join and upload their Clips. In order to keep the level of content as professional as possible, there are certain restrictions and eligibility but we'll tell you more about that when you apply.

What kind of content can I upload?
gap
Once you are approved as a Clip Attic Content Provider you can upload any number of Clips up to a maximum total of 500 MB. The only proviso is that you must own the copyright for this material, including any music that is used, and the Clip(s) must not contravene any of Clip Attics privacy / decency rules.

gap
Log onto Clip Attic with your user name and password. Select your own Content Provider section from the drop down menu. Then simply click on the "upload" button and select the file you wish to upload. You will also be required to provide information to categorise your Clip, including key words and phrases, summaries and descriptions.

As a Content Provider your total allotment of space is 500 MB, unless a larger space and fee is negotiated with Clip Attic management. Each file can be any size however the maximum size in total of all uploaded files may not exceed 500 MB.

Clip Attic has been designed to serve video Clips as fast as possible, To do this we have standardised on Adobe's "Flash" technology. The file format is .flv and is readable by any browser e.g. Internet Explorer of Firefox.

The "flash" browser add-on may be downloaded here. Clip Attic only accepts video files encoded as .flv files.

Where can I get an FLV converter?
gap
Content Providers that require a converter can download one here. The converter will allow you to easily and quickly transcode most video formats to the .flv format.

icon
What do I use to play .FLV files that are on my computer and not on a web site?
gap
Content Providers that require a desktop FLV player can download one here. The player allows you to view the .flv files before you upload them to Clip Attic.

gap
If you are logged in as a Content Provider, you will see the links for EDIT and DELETE on the right hand side of the Clip's name, below the actual video frame.
